Blush Brow - Cosmetic Tattooing

Semi Permanent makeup (SPMU) is the revolutionary method of depositing hypoallergenic mineral pigments into the dermal layer of the skin with an ultra-thin needle and pigment.

This treatment is also known as permanent makeup or cosmetic tattooing. However, the pigments used for permanent makeup are introduced less deeply into the skin layer and have a different composition from tattoo inks.

Whether natural, soft or intense they are all possible with SPMU/Blush Brow, no matter the skin type.

SPMU/Blush Brow is performed with a refined digital device and 20 needle formations to choose from. The pigment penetrates the skin efficiently, which makes the pigment last longer.

The pigment is gently applied to the skin using very fine needles to stencil over and fill in a brow mapped shape that is created by the brow technician and agreed on by the client – both during the consultation and before the procedure begins. Specialised needle formations can create a natural and amazing result.

The process normally takes about one to two hours, but it varies from person to person depending on the individuals requirements.

A consultation is an absolute must for this treatment as it enables the technician to explain  the process and skin type the client to see if they are a good candidate for the treatment, this is something we offer free of charge.

A patch test of the products that will be used is also a must before having the treatment to avoid any reactions during and post treatment.

It’s recommended to exfoliate and moisturise the eyebrows at home 2-3 days before the treatment day. This will help to soften the skin and help the colour penetrate into the skin easily.

We use a numbing agent so discomfort is very minimal. Throughout your eyebrow tattooing treatment we check with you to see if you are in any pain.

The sensation is that of a gentle electric toothbrush being held against the skin.

Our clients usually rate the discomfort as about 2 out of 10, if they feel any at all. 

The finish is heavier, bolder and what is known as a “block colour”or a look of a filled in brow, contrasting with the softer and far more natural look to Microblading.

A second appointment is usually required between 6-10 weeks after the initial treatment in order to fill any gaps or patches that may have appeared during healing.

Quite unlike tattoos, tattoo brows are a Semi Permanent makeup treatment, which means they will not last forever. However, they will last around 36 months before they begin to fade.

We give you a printout of the aftercare instructions along with your aftercare solution to take away with you and of course we are always on hand if you have any questions post treatment.
